Slow Cooked Pulled Pork

Looking for a low-effort, high-protein meal prep win? This slow cooked pulled pork is tender, flavour-packed, and perfect for building bowls, tacos, wraps, or sandwiches. With minimal ingredients and a set-and-forget cooking method, it’s a crowd-pleaser that works for busy weeks.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp grainy mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
  • 2kg pork shoulder, skin and underlying fat removed
  • 200ml stock (low sodium preferred)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, paprika, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and crushed garlic.
  2. Rub the mixture all over the pork shoulder. If time allows, marinate for a few hours or overnight.
  3. Place the pork and stock into a slow cooker.
  4. Cook on the lowest setting for 8 hours until the meat is tender.
  5. Remove any remaining fatty bits and shred the meat with two forks.
