23W Member Spotlight: Hannah M
By Ange Drake
Meet Hannah.
After motherhood, Hannah wanted to feel strong, energised and confident in her body again. Through consistency and commitment, she has built sustainable habits that support both her physical and mental wellbeing.
Her journey highlights the power of prioritising strength, nutrition and lifestyle habits to support long-term health.
How long have you been working with 23W?
Probably almost 2 years now!
What got you started on this journey?
Post motherhood I wanted to feel good in my body again, regain strength and energy.
What was your biggest challenge(s) at the start?
Making time in my week to come consistently alongside kids schedules and my work schedule.
What was your goal?
Honestly it has been to tone up, feel stronger and have more energy. As well as this, my visceral fat number alarmed me when I first had a body scan so I’ve been motivated to bring that down to reduce risk of NCD, overall health and longevity.
What result did you achieve?
After this challenge I’ve lost 3 kilos body fat and feel so much happier and levelled in my moods and stress. I’m prioritising nutrition and sleep in a way I never have before and it’s making a difference. I can do the monkey bars with my kids!
How have you changed?
I reduced my alcohol intake a lot, I am eating more veg at every meal to keep me full, I am tracking my intake and movement more.
What were your biggest challenges going though the process?
Social events make it hard to keep on track and when I get sick or work is really busy the first thing I drop is training and eating well. I’ve noticed my stress is really linked to unhealthy habits like comfort eating and scrolling.
What were your learnings?
I’ve been using ChatGPT to help calculate calories and macronutrient percentages each day and it has helped me understand how to tweak my diet each day to achieve my goals.
How would you describe your journey?
At the beginning a bit stop start, but now I’m proud that I’ve been able to make working out part of my routine now and that it fits into my week more. I still have more I want to achieve though.
What was it like working with the 23W and the other members in the community?
Love them! It has been so motivating and educational.
What is next for you?
Want to keep this momentum and continue.
